We wanted to update you on our Paper Cranes for Japan project. We have over 2,500 cranes now, and we will ship them to the Bezos Family Foundation for their donation for Japan.
Thank you for your generosity, Central! You are truly an amazing community of people, and we feel blessed to be a part of this fabulous school.

I don't know how many of you have interest in this article about the Bezos Scholar Program, but this is how I was able to attend the Aspen Ideas Festival last summer. I attended with Jonathon O'Leary, a senior, who is featured several times in the video in the article. There is also one picture of me in the video (by the way, my husband, Ralph, took the picture of us on the bridge, so his photo has now been used in national media) - oh boy! Jonathon and I planned Greenovation together which ended up being a great success. Anyway, I thought you might enjoy seeing this, as we have really hit the "big time" with the Huffington Post!

Team A members are: Captains Aubrey Kall and Jonathon O'Leary, Neal Crooks, Peter Elkin, Whitney Leming, Michael Goodyear, McKinley Kuhlmann, Emily Roebuck, and Katie Hopkins. Team B members are: Captain Kinzie Hull, Collin Garrett, Danielle Naumann, Tillie Sitz, Drew Richter, Jacob Neerland, Adam Kall, Brittnee Dillard, and Alexandra Doner. All of the students are to be congratulated for a job well done and competing wtih integrity and poise.

Boy, Oh Boy! I can relate! Sometimes I feel like I am trying to do too much, and I feel like I am being stuffed into a box!

Read'n Rap'n Relationships News
We are excited to announce that Read'nRap has received an SCRA grant of $2000 to buy books for our reading program, as well as fund a field trip or special event in the spring. Yeah! In December, Read'nRap'nRelationships held a holiday party where the reading partners from Garfield Elementary School and Central High School finally met. It was a fun event that gave the partners the chance the talk with each other face-to-face instead of only on the ReadnRap blog. We are looking forward to another get-together this spring.
